| TWDC's The Great War In The East Range We get a lot on enquires about plans for The Woodbine Design Company's Great War In The East Range so we thought we'd set up this page to explain current thinking and sketch out forthcoming release plans as they are made. 
The Woodbine Design Co support 'The Easterners'!The Woodbine Design Company (TWDC) is planning to cover in depth the Gallipoli, Palestine & Mesopotamia campaigns plus other 'Side Show' theatres such as West & East Africa. There is even talk of German New Guinea & Samoa. But I think that's just talk. All the nations involved will be covered; British & Empire Troops (including of course the ANZACS, Sikhs & Ghurkas), The Ottoman Empire (Turks & Arabs), Germany (Asia Korp) and France (including Colonial Troops & The Foreign Legion.) Although all the armies involved feature many different troop types, most of these were fairly standard across all 'Eastern' theatres. However all the campaigns offer scope for some rather interesting specifics; Lawrence's Arabs, Von Lettow-Vorbeck's East African Germans, the Senussi in Egypt for example.

Hats Off To Soapy Part Two 18/11/08Here are some pictures of freshly painted examples of the new seperate head and body packs. We hope to have the production moulds in this week and ready for sale next week. So far the list of heads reads as follows: For the Empire: Service Cap Soft cap (The Service Cap with the stiffening wire removed) Gor Blimey caps Brodie Helmet (Tin hat) Slouch hats Lemon squeezer slouch hats RND naval cap Wolesley helmet Mixed head wear (mainly for officers) and the Great Pack and for the Ottomans: Enver Pashas Fezes Coal scuttle helmets (stahlhelm Ottoman variant) and a mixture of officers headgear.
